Jason Bourne, the Winter Soldier, and the guy in American Ultra were all put through government mind-control programs and given intensive training to be super soldiers and assassins. They demonstrate great skill and quick thinking. This flattering portrayal is meant to make the audience think that the government mind-control programs work nicely, that they are effective at providing formidable operatives who can be of great service to the public if harnessed correctly. But if we really had operatives like that, would we have lost in Afghanistan?
The truth is that the victims of government mind-control programs are not improved, they are damaged. For real missions that require a skilled killer, such as the assassination of a foreign military leader, the government wouldn’t use an MK Ultra wind-up toy. They’d just use a military sniper. The wind-up toys are unreliable and not used for sincere missions. They’re used for psy ops, such as mass shootings in America. Their conditioning wasn’t to make them more accurate shooters, it was just to make them willing shooters of random people. They weren’t trained to be fearless in the face of a foreign enemy, they were trained not to care about their own lives. The purpose of the MK Ultra wind-up toys is not for them to be secretly successful warriors, it’s for them to be public failures. It’s to demoralize the public by association, and to push political goals such as gun control. Normal people who value freedom and the first two amendments don’t want to be associated with Jared Lee Loughner, James Holmes, Dylann Roof, or Payton Gendron. None of these people were used for military operations, just for psy ops. All of them had previously been known by the deep state, had been using drugs, and had been handled by psychiatric “professionals”. Now they’re all broken and ruined, and none of them will be conducting a Jason Bourne-like mission of recovering his identity and taking down the deep state agency that pushed him too far.
I agree, but I think MK Ultra (by which I mean the programs that inherited its legacy, I doubt that MK Ultra itself is still running) is not just one thing. It's not just training Manchurian Candidates and supersoldiers, which is a psyop term anyhow. I think they have different versions, some of which are used on pencil pushers for the deep state, people who work for deep black programs and the such, so that they don't blab, they really have a distorted idea of what they're doing for a living. Some versions are used on the masses via television and internet. And some versions are definitely used to create sex slaves. These are some of the unhappiest people in the world, but they are admired and emulated.
Anyhow, yes, i think they started the program with a fantasy of creating supersoldiers but ended up finding a lot of things they enjoyed doing along the way, like playing with sex slaves and honeytraps. The whole shitshow allowed the Mafia to penetrate the CIA and vice (lol) versa. I think if we could read the real histories we'd see how central the mind control project was in the 20th century, it's just that we still see Abstract Expressionism, Playboy Mansion, LSD, the counterculture, moon landings, Disney World, UFOs, and wokeism as totally distinct phenomena when they're all just sides of MK Ultra.
Yes, there are acute cases such as individual wind-up toys, and general cases, such as the mass propaganda pumped out to all of us. Whether its shooters, sex kittens, or vaxxer NPCs, all of the victims are damaged and made weaker, not stronger.
Well put.
Thanks. There are more examples, and parallel ideas, in other movies. GI Joe The Rise of Cobra has Cobra using nanotech to control the minds of their Viper soldiers so that they feel no pity or fear. Stranger Things is about DARPA experiments in extra sensory perception, but the set up shown is reminiscent of rumors of CIA’s MK Ultra/ Monarch programs.
A main thing that many of these Hollywood portrayals have in common is the institutional formality of the operation. Kids and young adults locked away in secret labs to be tinkered with. That’s a big part of the bullshit. Nowadays they can manipulate their target while he lives in his mom’s house. If he goes to a public school and uses the internet, that can be enough to influence some people to begin to lose their identities. Bonus: from a broken home; seeing a psych; taking pills such as SSRIs, ADHD meds, mood stabilizers; using other drugs; predisposition to mental illness.
Positive and over-the-top movie depictions help the deep state to conduct their operations in plain sight.
Good post, and I know what I am talking about.
Believe DecodingSymbols has a "monopoly" on MKUltra simply given how many 100k words he's written on the subject.
" So who “arranges” therapy? Before I answer that consider these Q posts relating MKUltra to the film the Bourne Identity.
Can’t easily end it because of the structure of MKUltra. Every MKUltra is a tiny cell kept as secret as possible. Now consider the character “Bourne” Here are some sections from the script I dug through that I believe highlight the point.
Bourne was the one who chose when, where, and how to kill the targets. This is due to him being programmed like “behavioral software” a victim of CONDITIONING. But keep in mind MKUltra victims don’t act like secret agents, that’s the point. They are traceable, but not traceable to the ones that want the murders done. They “don’t exist” in the sense that they aren’t tied to the ones that want them to kill.
The name symbolism btw of “Jason Bourne” is a simple one. Just break up the name.
Bourne = Born.
Jason Movie = First name that comes up with “Jason” = abused child driven to murder in a series of films.
So yea, this helps highlight the distinction between the symbolism of what Jason Bourne is versus the literal representation. The Bourne films present him as the perfect killer who is so good he doesn’t get caught. But MKUltra victims ALWAYS Get caught. And that’s why they are untraceable. The film presents the situation of MKUltra from a results only perspective. This might be why he doesn’t remember the crimes. His personality reflects the programming that went into the creation. People who are so messed up they shoot up an elementary school are not going to act like James Bond as they do it."

Also, just saw this section of wikipedia’s listing for The Bourne Identity novel:
“The name "Bourne"
ABC News speculated that the name was actually "most likely" inspired by Ansel Bourne, a famous 19th-century psychology case due to his experience of a probable dissociative fugue.[3] Ansel Bourne one day left his previous life and built himself a new life with a new profession elsewhere under a new name ("A. J. Brown"); after two months, he woke up with no memories of this new life, but with memories recovered up to this time and returned to his old life. The rare and controversial dissociative fugue has been described "a state in which an individual has lost their identity" by Harvard psychologist Daniel Schacter. "They don't know who they are, and they've lost all information about their past. They go on functioning automatically."[3]”
The first thing that came to mind for me when hearing “Jason” is the guy from the Argos and the Golden Fleece. I’d guess Decoding Symbols would mention that mythological connection.
Ludlum’s book The Bourne Identity was published in February 1980. The first Friday the 13th movie came out three months later in May 1980. In the first book, it’s shown that ‘Jason Bourne’ is an assumed name and at the end he remembers his real first name is David. David is a name loaded with symbolism, too. Since the movie came out 20 years after the book and after the Friday the 13th movies, it’s possible that the movie makers were influenced by Jason Voorhies and incorporated some of his symbolism into Bourn’s character. It’s an interesting idea, similar to the Dr Octopus/ Frankenstein metaphor in Spider Man 2 and SM No Way Home.
Thanks for the money quote from Decoding Symbols. “People who are so messed up they shoot up an elementary school are not going to act like James Bond as they do it."
