I never thought id be grateful for Turkey to be in NATO.
I never thought Turkey would be in NATO while Sweden wasn’t already in it.
Hold the line, enjoy the show. Q
I think it is a bad idea too, it just brings us to the brink of WW3
Does Erdogan have veto power? IDK how this works.
Didn't Russia say Sweden joining nato would be a red line crossed with dire consequences? Not sure if it did read that or not.
It's correct, with Sweden as neutral Russia has easy access to the Atlantic ocean via the Baltic sea. Sweden on it's own wouldn't fuck with Russia, but if Sweden where in NATO, just like Denmark, Russia would be blocked in. And if NATO ever wanted to block that access, Sweden would do it, knowing that NATO has their backs.
Thanks. I thought I read somewhere about Russia and Sweeden. Now I know why.
Yes he does, this was always the plan.
Turkey does not have unilateral veto power. But other NATO nations cannot afford to piss Turkey off because of it's extremely important strategic location.
All member states must agree that a new country can join Nato, therefore Sweden and Finland require Turkey's support in their bid to join the military alliance. Mr Erdogan said Swedish and Finnish delegations should not bother going to Ankara, Turkey's capital, to convince it to approve their Nato bid.
Oh, that's true! I forgot all about the "all or nothing" deal. So Finland, and Sweden are just virtue signaling, and western media is hyping it up to support the "eVeRy0Ne sTaNdZ WiT UkrAine" narrative.
I remember someone posted that Turkey would step up and screw NATO. LOL.
Hold the line.
Given that the original died when there was that stuff coming out about heart issues and he disappeared from public view for a long time(weeks moving into months) after(took them a while to find a workable double...) stuff like this makes me go hmmmm and wonder if he's a WH controlled part of the show...
Turkey is not in NATO is it? They are not even allies they act more like enemies. I remember they held our forces up for ransom every time we needed access to Afghanistan or their airspace to protect our troops. It was retarded that our generals relied on them for anything.
Yes turkey is nato
In the aftermath of the Second World War, Turkey made the historic choice of siding with the free world and the Western Bloc. This policy was led Turkey to become member of NATO on 18 February 1952. Since then, NATO has been the cornerstone of Turkey's defense and security policy.

How about ukraine?
Yes, Turkey can keep them out.
