There has been a lot of articles, put out by video game bloggers and sites, about dull and dumb game called Vampire the Masquerade. This seems to me to be obvious comms. The game is a remake of a dumber version from the late 90's early 00's. As well it was a table top game that is an allegory for rape and then becoming the monster that abused you. Any one else have similar thoughts or seen this?

The original is a decent enough game. It laid the ground for a lot of systems that modern games now use as bread and butter.
The company currently in charge of the table-top and licensing is a pit of scum and villainry topped only by a few outlets. They've fallen quite far, and are now super-woke and going super-broke.
They think the game reboot being tailored to the woke crowd is gonna save them, but doubling down on stupid usually means you're gonna shoot your other foot off because the first shotgun blast to the foot didn't solve all your problems, so obviously you chose the wrong foot and you need only take the other one out.
The company is running cover for some pretty gnarly sex allegations to come out from the top. They are one of several of game companies facing allegations recently, most notably Activision-Blizzard.
They are trying to get ahead of the story, and, yes, I suspect they have made some deals which the MSM has an interest in keeping under the table as long as possible.
I will sadly admit I’m balls deep in gaming news daily and I’ve not heard about this vampire game. There is one releasing on game pass soon and one dr disrespect was playing a month ago. 🤷
Nope. The "Vampire: The Masquerade" franchise is a tabletop RPG that licenses its name and has quite a couple games with their name on it. The one you're mentioning is Bloodlines 2, which was supposed to be launched in 2019-20 but got delayed because the devs said they wouldn't be able to compete with Cyberpunk 2077. I didn't get any news after that.
.........I've never heard about any of the allegory stuff. I always just thought it was Vampire DnD.

Was Eldenring comms or brilliant marketing?
