He has the means.
He has the people around him to pull it off.
He has the access, I would imagine.
He seems to obliquely wink at Qisms in a lot of his public remarks.
Anyone taken a serious look at this possibility?

Smart enough to "participate" but he is not on the Q team.
I would lean towards a heavily weighted NO. I followed the Q posts since the 2nd month of Q posting and many many times Q points out or makes mention of God. Musk is a confusing character to pin point, but he does make one thing clear, he does not believe in God. That would be my first dead giveaway. So without even going any further than that, that is just what comes to mind first. Yet I would like to someday know where Musk fits into this "pandora's box", we call life.
I doubt that Q is Elon (or that Elon is one of the "less than ten"), but it's not impossible either. He is definitely a part of The Show.
As for whether or not anyone has looked, I haven't seen such a deep dive.
Not to say that Q is Elon, but Q is absolutely an insider.
Everyone who is anyone is an insider to one degree or another.
