It was the perfect setup because if they did pad the numbers he would expose it and barely spend any money. If they didn't pad the numbers he buys Twitter slightly overpriced but can then fix it so it at least breaks even and is a true free speech platform. It was win/win for Musk. Either way he fixes Twitter or blows it the fuck up for something better to replace it. Gee, I wonder what the replacement will end up being???
