I know a fellow who literally bought citizenship in the EU. Cyprus is cheapest, Portugal a not-so-close second, Malta is in there somewhere. Most others require ancestry connection.

But according to prophecies and most estimates of political realities, America still leads the way in freedoms. It's a big country: if you can't wait it out where you are, Alaska beckons. Plenty of other places too.
