Pulling out still carries risk, unfortunately. Any of those other options (birth control does also carry some risk, but also some other potential benefits surprisingly).
Also, plan B which some people will oppose but whatever is shown to be effect for at least around 48 hours after.
If you have unprotected sex, or the condom breaks, or you wake up drunk the next day and your friends tell you that you were raped even though you slightly remember it and it just wasn't good because it was just two drunk people slithering against each other, there is still an option that doesn't directly turn into abortion.
It is cheap, it is (mostly) safe, and it is (mostly) effective. Ineffective cases are so fringe they don't even need to enter the conversation.
Essentially: These leftists just aren't trying to avoid having a kid. They are actively seeking out having an abortion, as it is at this point a badge of honor, an achievement, or an act of dominance over the father.
I was on board with exceedingly rare cases, but as they have established that one of their major pillars of their entire movement revolves around Roe vs Wade as a wedge issue, I'd rather just stop it all and enforce strict measures against doctors who give them on a whim, with the overall decision at a state level for restrictions or legalization.
However at this point I also support the criminalization of women who cross state lines to do something that is a crime in their home states.
yup... either that or wear a fucking diaphragm with spermicide.

That would be unconstitutional.
The criminalization of crossing state lines to commit a crime?
We already have laws against that. Strike those down first then.
