I think that people who don't understand the Constitution and how freedoms work should not have the Right to speak freely.
The 2nd Amendment does not have ANY qualifiers in it. Even criminals who have served their times and completed any subsequent parole time - including felons - should be allowed to purchase and carry arms. If there is a problem with that, then the sentence was too light (law not strong enough) - or the parole board screwed up - and the criminal should not have been let out.
The laws prohibiting a felon not being allowed firearms AFTER they have completely served their time / parole are completely unconstitutional. If they are too dangerous to society to be allowed to have firearms, then they are too dangerous to be let out of prison.
I understand, but think if you are a criminal you violated other's rights then you lose yours. Pretty simple. No not some schmuck that stole a Snickers when he was 19 y.o.
