As the man who hired Durham he can't look like a Trump stooge. What better credibility to give Durham to the normies as a guy who was hired by someone who is anti-Trump? I watched an interview he gave the summer of 2020 where he 100% said there would be voter fraud if mail-in voting was allowed to happen. He said it with conviction and with a bit of anger that this was going to be allowed to happen. He said it with a LOT more conviction than anything he has ever said negatively about President Trump. He's playing a role.

Yes, I saw the same interview. Wasn't this when he was employed by Trump? Then after J6 his tune changed. Perhaps j6 gave him the out he wanted. Or again, he has to look anti-trump. But he could just act neutral and by the book about everything.
