I was forced years ago to listen to that genre of music when I went to work with a colleague that had a small private practice. There was a local radio station at the time that played nothing but big band WW2 era music. I came to actually like it and now I have my own playlists of tunes from that era I enjoy listening to from time to time when I am in the mood - pun intended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2aqHGaSxRI There is something hopeful and innocent woven within the music of that era that shows an optimism for the future despite the hardships of what they were living through.
