Chiming in as someone who enjoys coffee and has had plenty of Starbucks over the years.

Starbucks is essentially a dunkin donuts. Get in, get out. One flavor of coffee available: Pike Place Roast. An ok-tasting coffee assuming the cashier brewed it correctly. They are often so busy they serve the coffee before it is finished brewing resulting in one person getting a very pungent cup of coffee and everyone else getting watered-down garbage.

Some years ago, they tried having a variety of different blends which is what any good good coffee shop needs. But at the end of the day, they’re not a coffee shop. They’re in the sugar business. Their espresso isnt bad as it’s designed to be pretty neutral and mild but it’s really just a base-ingradient for all their sugar drinks. Those kids don’t even brew the espresso anymore. One press of a button and it’s all automated by the machine - which none of them are trained to fix or service.

Shit, walk into a Starbucks and they don’t even have menus anymore. All the overhanging boards have been replaced by photos of sugar bullshit. And a Macchiato is espresso and foam only, cockfags.
