Traveled out of the country with a group of people for a 4-day weekend. Per cdc and the resident in chief, US citizens must show proof of a negative Covid test prior to returning to the states. Three members of my party, myself included, failed the coof test and have been holed up in quarantine for the last 6 days. During that time I missed my civic duty by not being able to vote in the GA primary…had to watch corruption from afar. Have spent countless hours on GAW and others, just to pass the time. Fast forward to today when we were set to leave…nope. We are stuck for another 5 days despite being a-symptomatic, we are still testing positive. The doctor who did the testing asked the three of us if we had been vaccinated. One of us ( not me or the spouse) has been three times vaxed. When I told the doc that I preferred not to say, she said, “then I will take that as a no”. “If you had the vaccine you’d probably get out of here sooner.” In that moment I think I had what can only be described as an out of body experience. “Fuck you”, I said. “ you have no right to ask and have no way of knowing if what you said is true”. “Just ask my vaxed and boosted friend here”. “And don’t even get me started on the fucking PCR test you want to ram up my nose!” Yes, I completely lost my shit.
Rest assured frens…while masses of illegals cross our southern border to get cash and a free phone, exposing all who cross their path, my party is safely sheltering place because our government has banned us from returning home.
End of rant.
Belize
Crazy. So did you get outta there?
After being held for 11 days in medical captivity, we finally made it home late last night. It was an ordeal for sure. As many have pointed out in this thread, leaving the country while biden has his illegal mandate(s) in place is not a good idea. Lesson learned.
Wow. Glad you made it back
We were planning our trip to Belize right before covid hit in March 2020, but decided to wait due to the uncertainty at that time. Should have went ahead and booked it anyways! Now you need a test to get in/out. So sad. Were not traveling internationally until all this nonsense is over (hopefully soon!)
On a separate note, how is Belize? Are they covid-crazy there? That's one of the places my husband and I were thinking of moving to, at least checking out. Probably not any more however..
