He was admitted for overnight observation after going to the ER with severe stomach pains. CT scan showed the tip of his appendix is slightly inflamed, liver is inflamed, liver enzymes are 8x normal, and bilirubin is 1.3 instead of 1. Doctor said possibly the hepatitis that’s been going around in children. My son is 7, and has not been vaccinated. He had COVID around Christmas, but I’m not sure if that matters at all. He’s not in pain now, just tired. Hopefully it’s nothing and his numbers go down by the morning.

Does your insurance by any chance cover visits to functional medicine physicians? If so, I would definitely see about getting a second opinion before allowing the doctor where he is currently to schedule too many tests and definitely ever surgery. Especially since he hasn't had the vaccine. There is no way your son just randomly ended up with hepatitis so don't let them put that into your head.
Many prayers to your son for healing and prayers to you and the rest of the family, for comfort, strength, and clarity for answers to the root cause of his ailment.
