I understand that most people aren't homicidal maniacs. But we live in a giant country, so there are absolutely some. And we see that every day. And, sometimes, we'll get a particularly sensational one who commits a newsworthy mass shooting.
But somehow there is never any of these particularly odd maniacs, albeit rare, who go after politicians. You'd think the ratio of premeditated mass killings to assassinations would be lower.
Never is an exaggeration. I guess what really baffles me is the ratio between pre-planned and successfully executed terroristic mass shootings and successful political assassinations.
