I'm a member of my local blue lodge. (Your standard community lodge.) Im as high ranking as any member of any blue lodge, we are all equal. However I have held both main leadership roles. One being the Master of the Lodge in 2018-19 and the Lodge Secretary whom some would argue has more to do with the day to day operation of the Lodge. I can't speak for other Lodges or even the Grand Lodge of my state as I have little interest in them. I joined to be a part of my local community and take a part of some of the good things I learned my local Lodge supports. In fact next week I'll be taking a load of bounce houses rockwall's etc to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford NC with a few other brothers for I think the block party and next month we will be taking the books we collected in our book drive to the Veterans nursing home near by us and visiting them again if they let us this year.
What I gather from your posts is you are either putting on a face about the good/light aspects of being a member of a lodge while concealing the dark activities you are up to or you are being used as a pawn to do PR activity while the real stuff is happening over your head. I'd ask what kind of spiritual knowledge are you learning? We know about the apron being a symbol for creative energy, the chessboard, the pillars, the sun and the moon. We know the symbolism traveler. So what are you currently learning and mastering? Masons doing charity for kids creeps me the fuck out. You could have said you are working for the Clinton Foundation doing charity for children, same thing.
I'm not in it for religious reasons. In fact the two topics that are not allowed inside a Lodge meeting is religion and politics. As stated before it's a chance to work with and be a part of my local community doing good things. You seem to believe that there is a lot more going on at Lodge meeting than there is. You may discount the good we do for our community but I'm very proud to be a of it. Very few things exist for the purpose of doing good and bringing people together in this world and thus I do understand why it's attacked so much.
Yeah, you might be doing some decent charity stuff at the lower levels. All you have to do is look at the elite class of politics, business, entertainment etc to find freemasons everywhere. Maybe go talk to your closest 33rd degree mason about Lucifer to learn more.
Blue Lodge Masonry has but three degrees. Anything further is either part of the Scottish or York Rite (You do have to be a Master Mason to join them but they are separate organizations with there own membership, dues etc).I don't claim to know anything about anything else other than what goes on in my local Lodge. That said maybe there is some strange things that go on in other places, I'm not well informed enough to speak on that, but I do know what goes on in my Lodge as I've been it's leadership for years. Community Lodges are not the problem with our world, in fact we do what we can to bring community together.
