This has been my thinking. I was on a phone call with my dad last week and this is really close to how I explained it to him. You want everything to come to a head all at once.
I said it was like we have A through F teams all working a particular angle at once, and they all have 5 steps to get to the endgame, but A, B, and C teams are at step 4, and have been asked to slow it down, because D, E, and F team are at step 2 or 3, and they all want to be at Step 4 at the same time so they can simultaneously take step 5.
A team might be focusing on human trafficking, B team on election interference, C team on fake news, etc., etc. They're all making strides---we can all see the strides--but right when we think something big in one of those areas is gonna happen...crickets for a while, then something big starts to happen in another area.
This is very frustrating for onlookers who assume we keep getting thwarted, but what if we're not being thwarted, we're just being patient, letting it all come together?
That's how I see it anyway. It brings me peace in this confusing and frustrating time.
Well stated. The concept I introduced among my small band of patriots online is that of "weaponized patience." Yes, it would be great to see sweeping justice issued to all of those who have avoided it to this point, but while none of us are happy with the timeline in which this is occurring, it happens in the one that it MUST, all the same.
It might be a bit clunky as metaphors go, but I keep coming back to the thought that the Disciples who walked & talked with Jesus felt his return would be imminent. Like, in their lifetimes imminent. Their daily interactions with Christ had their belief level at the highest anyone could possibly expect. After all, they walked and talked with the man on the regular.
I see those of us who have been here since Q's regular posts being in the same boat. When Q said "SOON," it's not unreasonable for the ones watching in real time to believe that soon meant soon.
Time has carried on, and our expectations should not be tempered, but the timing (out of necessity/sanity) has been.
Believe like it's tomorrow, but plan like it's never coming in your lifetime, right? Isn't that what our civic engagement in local affairs accomplishes? After all, we have to hold up our end of the bargain at home, then meet DJT and the patriots at the top in the middle. The 'Devolution Sandwich', as PatelPatriot calls it.
