I dunno...Durham didn't have the power to let him walk, nobody knew what the jury was going to do. There was certainly enough evidence to convict.

True, but jury makeup and Judicial bias did lean towards the end result.

IMO, while the sworn testimony revealed is good, it is also another step towards enacting the 1807 insurrection act. Fun times ahead either way.
