I avoided sonic movie at all costs. About 2 weeks ago at work I watched it on my phone. Needless to say, it’s forgettable. Doesn’t add anything to the “lore”. The jokes were subpar, and I only enjoyed one scene in the entire movie.

You’re correct, his character was basically ace Ventura. Over the top with cheesy lines. A little cringe and not very menacing. He was probably the worst part of the movie IMO
