I honestly believe this to be a huge factor as we already have proof of parasites changing their hosts' behavior to ensure future transmission (eg infected mice and their suicidal behavior around cats).

And that actually explains quite a bit about the overriding urge to continually hook up in huge numbers with no emotional, spiritual, or emotional connection with anonymous partners.
