There are both the ones that feared being ostracized and those that were truly scared. My brother I could tell it was a mixture of trump derangement and not wanting to fight with his wife who wanted to be a part of the herd. I have a next-door neighbor who was truly panicked for 16 + months about covid.

My in-laws are still freaked out. They do go out but nowhere near like they used to. People really do need to hang for this.
