If you do that your new agent pulls the shares from your old broker. We had a lot of agents that acted like they didn't know or actually didn't know tell him politely to transfer your shares or you will file a complaint with the feds. Or open a fidelity account and tell them to transfer your shares, from amerprise they can do it in about 3 days,then tell them to DRS.
