What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Note: We have changed the title for this thread to avoid confusion with the daily Q in 3D threads.
Taking the jab to keep a job might not work out very well if the jab causes you severe adverse events that ands up putting your health at risk and unable to keep your job anyway.
On top of that, you are rolling the dice on your life for a job that they can fire you from any day for anything even after you are jabbed.
What are your options? Can you work independently? If so, this is the best option even if it causes lot of hardships and reduces your lifestyle significantly. Telling you from experience. I went from silicon valley to backwater of the tech world for personal reasons, and spent more than a decade working really hard for myself with drastically cut down life style, and if I did not do it then, I would not have the freedom during the pandemic that I had.
Can you work in other jobs? Even if the pay is less or the work is not as sexy, it does not matter. In the end you need to keep yourself as free as possible.
Can you ask them to give you a position that does not require travelling? Even if its a lower position its still worth it.
I suppose I'll have to look for something else. Being a programmer, I think I'm going to have to do the same as you. I don't need much to be happy, though, so I'm fine for it.
I highly highly recommend this. I had so many misgivings, so much fear, and it eas against everything I had been taught and raised (work stability, good salary, settle down in life, etc), but thanks to my dear wifey, I was able to get over those fears and reaping the rewards.
