Uh I’m not sure I follow this one. The movie has a very positive message about working hard towards your goals and finally attaining them. Not to mention a strong showing of the importance of fathers that are there for their kids.

That’s why a lot of leftist critics hated it for being “idealistic”, because they would have preferred if the movie showed that it was impossible for Will Smith to succeed since he was black.
