I was thinking about this today. I was watching a TV series that’s set in the 70s time period. You only needed a passport to fly internationally. Before 9/11 you could fly anywhere in your country with out an ID. Was this part of the plan? Look how quick they created Homeland Security! Post 9/11 you must show your ID when flying even from State to State. Now you have to have the new IDs to fly, I think they have barcode. Don’t remember specifics. I haven’t flown since 2013. We have never flown much. I’m in NC, I still have the same picture ID from before the new requirements. Essentially with out the gold ⭐️ or passport you can’t fly or enter a federal building. Just another way to track you.

You could fly with pocket knives as well.
you could smoke on a an airplane....and I remember when patients and staff smoked in the hospital, all the time....
I remember being able to smoke on airplanes and at movie theaters during the movie! When I was a teen in high school, we could smoke AT SCHOOL on the patio during lunch and between classes. We could smoke inside the grocery store and inside the Sound Warehouse record store (back when music was on vinyl). Aaaaah, those were the days!
