I've seen people collapse from dehydration and heat. In places like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Moab, Death Valley, Puerto Vallarta, etc... Either deserts, or high temp with high humidity (perspiration doesn't evaporate = hard to cool down).
Thing is, this generally happens outside, not inside an air conditioned facility - unless they were close to collapse and just barely entered.
Have you had a particularly hot, or hot/humid spell in Orlando?
If your climate isn't acting out of the ordinary, i would say it's pretty suspect and not normal at all.
Were these individuals particularly obese? Did they have water with them?
