I dont see this judgement as being a slow as molasses thing. When the LORD does this, it will be devastating a overnight thing with billions affected. What everyone misses about these judgements is the mercy of God. Over and over again you read, " and for all this, they would not repent " God could destroy everything and everyone on this planet with just one word. This is the bright spot, God stops after these judgements and raises up the 144,000 jews to preach the gospel, then you read the account of the great multitude who get saved. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is a book about God's love and God's mercy. He is trying to get men to repent and not be forever lost in the flames of hell and missing out on eternal happiness. If only one sinner had ever sinned, Jesus Christ would still have died on the Cross to offer a way to Heaven personally for that sinner.
