The greatest leaders in history were philosophers. Perhaps we should elect Mr. Sowell to be President? Economist, Historian, Social theorist with an extremely rare combination of Great Knowledge and Great Wisdom.
Psychopathic and malignant narcissist abusers always have outsized influence. They have no empathy, shame, or conscience, and don't care what they have to do or whom they have to hurt to get their way. They easily abuse others and make up lies about why they're doing it so their victims often don't understand that they're being abused. The victims often think they're being helped. ("Here, take this vaccine to save your life," "Give up your car to save the environment," etc.)
Most normal people give others the benefit of the doubt that their intentions are good, that they're telling the truth, that if they're upset about something, that their feelings are genuine. Most people don't want to hurt or offend others or to make themselves the center of attention.
