I'll be a devil's advocate with no knowledge whatsoever of bullets or explosives. I've always been suspicious of his shoulder motion not corresponding to a bullet impact. Wouldn't the charge put an obvious hole in his shirt or did that detail get brushed away in the quick cleanup after the crime?
Bumble is one of the stupidest men on the planet but that doesn't mean he isn't evil. His show was run by a couple dozen or more people far smarter and more evil than him. If they take him out but don't hang everyone in all three of his administrations justice will not have been served. To me it feels like the opposite of all supervillain movies where the boss is an evil genius but he fails because he can't do it all and he can't get good help.
