When I was a kid people used postcards on notice boards to buy and sell stuff. Hookers could not just advertise in plain language so they often used "chest of drawers" as code, I guess because chest=tits and drawers is an obsolete word for panties/knickers.

There's a Monty Python sketch where the humour comes from a guy trying to decode this and getting nowhere until finally she rips down the postcard and pins up one with "blonde prostitute will engage in any sexual activity."
