Sadly, that's how some perceived Jesus. The pharisees regularly accused Him of having a demon. I mean, seriously? He was constantly, constantly expelling demons from people, healing the sick and lame, even raising people from the dead. But, you know, nothing out of the ordinary going on there.

So when you are making a great point and attempting to open people's eyes, and they seem to perceive you as a madman, just remember that God walked on earth for 33 years and there were many who didn't recognize Him.
