US Marine Corps: I’ve noticed these flags flying at Cherry Point Marine base Havlock NC. Top 1776 USA flag, Bottom Grand Union flag. Does anyone know why they are flying them? It gave me hope also. I was really excited when I saw the 1776 flag. Just noticed the grand union flag yesterday. I’m pretty knowledgeable with history but I do forget a lot of what I read. No forgiveness necessary. A few weeks ago took pics of that display but the wind was low & flags were not flying.
