Precipitation hasn't really been all that off, not sure where they keep gettin this 100 year drought thing. We had tons of snow this winter... tons of rain last summer to the point that the mosquitoes were out of control... repeated flooding, mushrooms growing all over the place, etc... but supposedly its still the worst drought in 100 years again this year.

Yeah there hasn't been much so far this spring but its not monsoon season yet... and even when it is, the soil here is volcanic, it can rain like crazy and the soil is still dry like two days later because it doesn't retain water very well.
