So my job, and family-owned small town grocery store, caught fire in the early morning. Electrical. Total loss. Asking for prayers for my family and co-workers....as if times weren't hard enough right now..

Insured? I hope so. If you are then best advice I can give is find what is known as a public adjustor, not one from the insurance company. You'll be very happy you did. Even if it means finding one many miles away. They calculate your loss down to the number of nails you'll need. Amazing what they can recover. They take 10% but well worth it. Trust me, I know.
Youβre describing property insurance. What she needs (as an employee) is business interruption coverage.
If the store owner had that, the employees will get paid while they rebuild the store.
Great advice! I briefly worked for a public adjustment company that did just that. They really helped people in recovering as much money as possible.
