I live south of Columbus we had storms everywhere but the power has been fine all day… they killed it a couple hours ago to “preserve” the infrastructure. I have never seen that in Ohio. Maybe I’m wrong but I’ve never experience an intentional outage for consumption preservation.

There was a pretty bad storm that night. Near constant visable lightning strikes. Knocked the power out around midnight, didn't get restored until mid-day in the Northwest.
