Whilst there appears to be more older women having babies, the overall trend is very down.
Under 20 years old it's dropped around 60% in 10 years, and from 20-24, arguably when most women have children, it's heading towards a 50% drop.
Considering the UK has a lot of 'imported' mothers who breed a lot more than the locals, this looks bad.
I haven't looked at the breakdown stats based on race etc., but I suspect it looks even worse for the indigenous population, now an endangered species.
It's a failing world economy.
Looks like women ages 30-40 is up. Could it be more women are waiting? Trying to be optimistic.
This could have a lot to do with more women going to college college, graduating and working a full time job, and then putting off having a family until they’re more financially stable.
There are other data sets I haven't had time to look into yet, but all this table represents is live births - no other data.
We're not quite endangered species yet, but we're on the way.
