Someone could write a book just on how and why she was tracked down and chosen to be the face of nationalizing abortion. One reason, she was malleable.

Sadly, probably more than anything else, she represented a class of people the elites hate. She was poor, poorly educated, and already gave birth to two children she abandoned.
