I used to live on Cape Cod. The Vineyard Gazette published this news from its board minutes and it’s gone viral. Prepare for lights out folks!

I do not understand how having one single GIANT tank that is very close to the ocean ... is prepping. Unless it's just prepping in the short term for no electricity.
Being on Martha's Vineyard with no electricity would I guess be not a half-bad way to ride out a few months of "28 Days Later", especially if you know how to fish.
I've heard he might be also building a bunker. That sounds more like prepping.
That is enough propane to keep his seaside mansion running for two years. He is prepping for having no electricity. $75,000 investment to his energy needs doesn’t sound like prepping to you? Propane is used for generators.
Sure. But one large tank very close to the ocean sounds like a bad design. Fragile.
I would go with three tanks, and probably erect some wind turbines (lots of wind in Martha's Vineyard) and solar (if it could be protected properly from the ocean salt and wind) so I could talk about how I am "living my values" since he's supposedly one of the dudes saving the Earth (he's not).
