You can pay for the good things voluntarily. If people need to be coerced, then it’s not meant to be. You’ve got cause and effect backwards. The countries that developed complex networks of voluntary trade were the countries that developed wealth to be coveted by tax collectors. Why would tax collectors plunge their fangs into societies that never developed anything? If the IRS suddenly showed up in the Sahara to tax everyone, would the Bedouins suddenly develop an advanced society?

Do you also pay taxes so Hunter Biden can fund his business dealings in China and Ukraine? Did you taxes pay for Obama's book deal? How much foreign aid has to be stolen by politicians before you notice? How much of your earnings and capitol has to be raked by the Central Banking system before you care? Your analysis is a bit short sighted and shows a lack understanding of reality.

A tiny portion of your taxes go to that. Look at the budget spending percentages. Look how much money is being taken from the citizens. Now look at how awful our infrastructure is. Bridges are falling apart, the electric grid is hanging by a thread, our education system is clearly failing (if you believe it has a admirable goal...)
