You are 100% correct. And for those who may disagree, “submit” in the biblical context does not have the connotations the modern world assigns to it. Submission implies a sacrificial love, dying to self in order to fully embrace another. Nobody but God is above the one you submit to, it is the most selfless love humans can give.
Absolutely agree. Many think of submission as something bad, but it is truly the husband who has the harder job. A woman must learn to quell her inner pride and be submissive to her husband but
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the Word and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless"
Our wives' sins are in some measure the fault of us husbands. For it is our job to cleanse them so that our wives may be without blemish. This is why women so often are offended when they receive correction, but men must help their wives just as Jesus helps the church to become holy.
People may disagree, but the BIble alone tells the truth.
