So ive just been wanting red pill after red pill, so whats the deal on toothpaste?what is it actually? Links please
I've been thinking about this lately.
Like why brush at all? Animals in nature don't.
We brush because of food is shit. But what if we actually want to have some mouth bacteria, just like gut bacteria? What is the entire process is backwards?
Go to YouTube and look for videos on "heavy tartar removal" and you'll see a big reason to brush your teeth. 😁
Agreed. I'm just curious what the original was like.
I started looking into people who have regrowth teeth. I think there's a lot we don't know
My understanding was that a lot of the dental problems in ancient Egypt were due to grain milling methods, in which sometimes they would include abrasive particles to speed the process.
But also most animals don’t live for 65+ years. Also, I haven’t seen inside most wild animals mouths. I’m not sure how many teeth they have that aren’t rotted. Just cuz they’re not dead doesn’t mean they’re not suffering from a tooth ache.
Brushing and flossing without toothpaste removes the plaque without disrupting the bacterial makeup of your mouth. That's an interesting train of thought though. I wonder if killing 99.9% of bacteria in the mouth causes cavities to form even faster in the long term due to a lack of good bacteria to stop the exponential growth of plaque forming bacteria the next time you eat carbs
This is the first I've heard about that, but I think it makes sense now that you mentioned it. Having a coating of something else already on your teeth would both protect them from acid and make it so bacteria aren't directly growing on the enamel
Interesting…maybe the fat provides a slippery coat that prevents bacterial adhesion. Never heard of that one before but I love cheese and have no cavities. 😂
