When did the deep state start forcing Juneteenth down our throats. Why is this nonsense even considered a holiday

My husband‘s company one that has a lot of contracts with DOD told employees that if they had enough work hours in they could take today off. My husband took it off you know because Black Lives Matter! They matter because it gave him an extra day off with pay but he did have to put in the hours to get it.
