Also I started noticing these flags in our neighborhood that are blue and red they have some kind of a circle with like a star image or something in the center and some letters down the side but where we live it’s very windy so couldn’t really get a close look at the flag but then I stopped and took a picture of one and large it in the center of the circle it says“Juneteenth“. I think it’s one of the stupidest things ever. So now we have a black Independence Day we now have a black national anthem we had a black kind of like president so I guess we should do with Blacks want and just go back to Jim Crow laws, separate but equal, I’m for that . They want to have their own language, own anthem, own flag, Kwanzaa instead of Christmas let them have it. Maybe we could also find some state that would take them all so they could have their own little state/country since they want their own everything. Maybe Puerto Rico would like to have all of these Black people who hate everything white!
I don't get it either. Why is it so important to the leftists to celebrate that time the Republicans freed the slaves?! Well, they're welcome to celebrate it all they want, and I make sure they understand that's what they're celebrating ;-)
I was out with my family on Sunday, and in the town we were visiting I saw they were having a "Juneteenth" celebration. They were being loud and obnoxious and I saw vegan type skinny soy plebs wearing Juneteenth shirts, thinking they were making a statement. There were a lot of white people attending, more than blacks. Ironic.
While my family and I, and all the other normal people, were celebrating Father's Day, these fools decided to be loud and annoying because let's be real here...none of them have fathers. The State/Government are their fathers.
My retarded woke CEO gave us all off today with pay. He became a useful idiot to me! Yay!!
I’m fine with commemorating the day slavery was officially ended, honoring the lives of those who sacrificed theirs so that others could be free, But imo should be on the date of the signing of the emancipation proclamation, not fucking retarded “Juneteenth”.
The proclamation didn't "free the slaves." Read it completely. It exempted a number of locations, such as Norfolk, VA and New Orleans.
BTW, the war didn't start to set anyone free. It was to punish the South for daring to trade directly with England without using northern shippers and paying more taxes. Slavery was a pretext to get stupid northerners on board with the deadly "War of Northern Aggression." Southerners were merely defending themselves. Yankees came down and killed men, women, children, and livestock, and burned down farm houses, fields, and courthouses.
The slaves would have been free in 20 years or so naturally, just as the ones up north had gradually gotten freedom. There was no need for a war.
My husband‘s company one that has a lot of contracts with DOD told employees that if they had enough work hours in they could take today off. My husband took it off you know because Black Lives Matter! They matter because it gave him an extra day off with pay but he did have to put in the hours to get it.
