We have property and Family around there too, rode out every hurricane from Carla until Rita, then moved out here but the business and old property are in there.

bastrop reporting in. of course I wish i was more prepared, but i would feel that way regardless until i had a well, power substation, farm, and my own army. basically, until turned my house into a self sufficient off grid castle. I just moved in a year ago so that hasnt been a reality, but i have good neighbors, and while im not self sufficient, I've got the tools and materials to get good enough in a survival mode situation and ive got more then enough food and water on hand to bridge the gap.
