I hear people talking about this on podcasts. Pay off all debt? What about the guy that has no debt and rents his home vs. someone who is leveraged to the max and paying his bills with credit cards? How is making people wealthy going to get people back to work? We have had a shortage just because people would rather live on welfare than work.
