OTC. No prescription needed
Since when does a pharmacist trump a doctor's decision making?
The new MO law preventing doctors from being punished for prescribing IVM and HCQ also includes a clause that says pharmacies are not allowed to question the doctor. Thank goodness the legislators and govenor added that.
Read the bill, it’s not like buying aspirin, it’s not that easy.
Yay! Excellent news! Our MO govenor did the same. What a relief!
For the past year I am part of a group that connected covid-sick people with doctors who would prescribe it and pharmacies who would fill the prescriptions. We even helped sneak the prescriptions into hospitals. Every single time, the patient got better (as long as they refused Remdesivir and the ventilator)!
I will be glad to not have to fight so hard for access to normal medical care.
It’s about time! 👍
I just called every pharmacy around me in TN and they all told me the same thing... they can't sell it OTC until they have stock of the OTC labeled product and guidance from above on how to discuss it with patients. They dont know when that will happen and until then all they have is the prescription labeled product so they can't sell it OTC. Wallgreens said they follow federal guidelines not state and won't offer it OTC, we'll see how that works out for them but I had to get some online from Cali of all places. came hella fast though.
Headed to TN in a few weeks- so does this mean there’s no chance of picking any of this up while there? How is it OTC if they aren’t allowing you to purchase it over the counter? Doesn’t make sense.
i spoke to a local TN pharmacy (2 months ago) about purchasing IVM and they said that the details were still being worked out. Give a TN pharmacy a call.
