20 is hard for me but I do try and shop local and I pay higher prices at the local hardware store on purpose!
Ideally you can make it but if you at least consider it and put some effort, this already is virtuous, Fren.
You know Penisse, I like to buy things in the underground economy. Second hand stores, yard sales, church sales, the bump and dent stores places that don’t use barcodes or track what you buy. Small shops if I can use them and local restaurants are also on my list. If a new business opens I go check it out. I do this because the money I spend matters to these places. They need it and appreciate it. Since I don’t have a bunch of money to spend it also saves me money and sales tax. I bought all my garden seeds from small businesses and grew all the plants from them. I spend the most on my gardening habit and usually buy my plants but not anymore.
I hope to try.
I quit in January 2021. Using Rakuten (Japanese concurrent) or local commerces and buying secondhand whenever possible. It actually widens the possibilities.
I very much agree! I get what I can at the most based grocery store here and the rest between Amazon (isn't all that often anymore) and estate sales.
🤗💐
I don't go there!
