Or maybe just use community voting and reporting?

But then we'd also have to accept that some things we don't want to read/see might occasionally be visible for a little while.

If people aren't mature enough to accept that then they shouldn't be using the internet and probably shouldn't even ever leave their house.

I don't trust AI at all and I don't want it to play any part at all in our lives.
