I posted last week a letter from a Louisiana oilfield worker who wrote about there being at least 400 years of oil in the US. On the noon news yesterday, there was a segment about a viral rumor involving "400 years of oil in the US" and naturally, they had their "fact checkers" debunk it. Thought about contacting them but you know what? Fuck 'em, they wouldn't do anything about it. "Reporters" today do nothing but cover stories they're told to cover and read reports that are spoon fed to them. Journalism has been dead in the US for a long time. Happy that my Journalism professor is no longer alive to see what news readers have become. He'd be heartbroken.
Wells that run dry 80 years ago are full agai. It is a never ending supply
I believe this too. We're still getting royalties from wells drilled 60 years ago! A company wants to drill right below that spot because there's "a lake of oil".
