I live in Texas,we open carry and concealed carry.I think the obvious number of people with guns prevents crime.Carry openly,be cordial.

I think concealed carry is best... why give a bad guy a target of who to take out first if they're planning some bad shit. You want to be "invisible" to the enemy, look harmless, average joe... let him look the other way.... until it's too late (BOOM!) and he's on the ground bleeding out.
My observations has been that open carry is street rat repellent. When little groups of chumps that throw shit at people and make harassing remarks see a few people open carrying, they bounce.
The whole, armed society is a polite society.
Imagine an outdoor market in a rough side of town where half the shoppers and all of the vendors had a pistol open carried on their side. I think it would probably end up being a polite market.
Open carry in a mass area where others are armed too is fine with me. But except for gun shows, I'm not around such people. Thus.... concealed.
I'd only OPEN carry if there are people with me ALSO open carrying. Otherwise all it would take is for someone to sneak on me and wait for a chance to grab it or knock me on the head and grab it
I am thinking more of the health of our society.I agree tactically.Just can't give up hope for our country.Too many children and grandchildren on American soil. Two sons, two daughters, six grandsons, one granddaughter.
Grey Man principle is the way.

Precisely! Also, at my age, I'm already pretty much "invisible" to most young folks, and I use that to my advantage. Move among the crowd without drawing attention to myself, just some random old white dude... who is more dangerous than a pit viper if pushed too far.
