“I read a book about ending life. I read in there that the easiest way is to suffocate. But I did not want the pain."

It is the easist way, provided that you do it by breathing nitrogen. You can even buy a kit (nitrogen bottle, regulator, pipe) - you supply your own plastic bag to put over your head.
